Hi Anthony,
Sorry I missed your posts.

This looks like the error is happening with SSL.

When you load the SSL object, using .LoadSSLObject(...) , into aspNetEmail, there is an overload that accepts a Boolean to initiate the SSL transaction before the 220 response.

Try setting that Boolean to true or false. That may fix it.
